United Church Syrian Refugee Appeal

Syria Refugee Appeal: The United Church of Canada is deeply concerned for the more than 6 million people who are now internal or external refugees, displaced by the fighting in Syria. As the numbers of refugees increase, the United Church has been asked to help. On September 5, 2013, the church launched an emergency appeal for donations that will be directed to our partners on the ground. I saddens me when I think of all the people who need our help. I would like to take those three little children from the camp and bring them here to Canada to go to school and sleep in beds and talk about plans for 'when I grow up'. But what about their parents, and all the other children in that camp? There is so much to be done. I hope that my little donation, along with all the rest, can make a difference in their lives.
