I will post this on all the threads so that we can try and hear from as many as possible.
As you know, WonderCafe.ca has been an experiment of the United Church of Canada and at General Council in August , the cafe's fate will be in the hands of those who are there to do the work of the church.
I will offer to send on the information that we receive here to the United Church Observer to be printed in an upcoming edition before August. However, that does not give us a big time frame so please if you feel passionate about Wonder Cafe, I would respectfully ask you to leave testimonies here. This is an invitation to ALL who participate in this forum whether you are United Church menbers or whether you are friends who are on other spiritual journeys. You might think about some of these comments.
The Church is about ministry and the United Church is about Ministry and the Grass Roots - from the bottom up - So, I ask you to be the voice of the church so that we may see this vital ministry continue.
Leave your testimony here

Being only sixteen, I have a lot of growing to do and a lot of questions that need answering. Wondercafe is one of the few communities I know of that I can openly come to and share my heart and know I won't be judged, shot down, or critizied.
It gives me the oppurtunity to engage in discussions with people my age, but also people much older and with more knowledge and wisdom of the world, making it one of the only places I can learn about Christianity, faith and society from a generation outside of high school.
Everyday I meet new people, hear different opinions and have unique testimonies shared with me. I get an insight into countless other lives and have my knowledge of the world constantly challenged and expanded. I not only have my faith ministered to by the people around me, but I have the constant oppurtunity to bless people through Wondercafe.
Sure, there are other discussion forums I could talk on, but I've never encountered one with so much love, devotion and faith. Amongst an internet community filled with hate and inmaturity, it's a breath of fresh air.

Have you received education in religious matters
I've learned a little about the way others believe. Is that a good thing?
