Life thrives on decay.
Aftere the ice of the last Ice Age had receeded, most of Canda was a barren desert. The top soils we have today, and on which our lives depend, consist of thousands of generations of plants and animals who laid down their lives so that we may live. We do, quite lierally, live on top of and off the corpes of those that died before us.
This should prompt us to willingly lay down our corpses for those who come after us, eh?
