Bottom Retainer

I’ve had a wire glued to the back of the bottom front teeth as a permanent retainer for about eights years since getting my braces off.

Yesterday it fell off.  Any suggestions on how to get rid of the glue on my teeth while I wait for a dental appointment?

Thanks!

Did  you ask the dentist?  Or an orthodontist office - they'd probably know best.

Yes, I asked them.  They said nothing will help.

Maybe you can just cover it with the wax recommended for braces irritation to make it feel a bit better and prevent some food from sticking?

Best answer.

Much better than getting handyman next door to come over with a dremel and a burr.

He he. Guess what my podiatrist uses for grinding down calluses? I suspect it's a model made especially for his profession, but it's still beyond a shadow of a doubt a Dremel.

Don't know what I was expecting when I first saw this thread, but I didn't think it was about teeth.
