Anyone take them? If so, for what health reason? Any problems?
What kind?

It's not really a digestive enzyme, Beloved, but I take a probiotic with L-Glutamine twice daily. I have serious eczema which my naturopath believes is worsened by my slow functioning intestines. It keeps things moving and has really helped clear up my skin.

Just lactaid when I want to indulge in something. I find it's best if I take one or two beforehand and then some with the dairy. They haven't caused any problems for me.

I don't use any myself, but have encountered a number of patients in hospital who need them & find benefit. Tonight I was the health food store & picked of copy of ALIVE magazine - and it has an article about digestive enzymes! So that made me think of you Beloved :-) Possibly you can find it online.

Speaking of health & food related magazines - we get Nutrition Action Health Letter & love it - NO advertising & lots of useful, scientifically backed information about what we eat. Published by an organization called Center for Science in the Public Interest.

Thanks carolla . . . will check that out.
Saw naturopath doctor and he suggested I hold off on the digestive enzymes until my system (digestive tract) has a chance to heal a bit more as adding enzymes at this time could be a little bit like pouring vinegar on an open wound . . .
I continue to long for the day when I am restored to better health :)
