The Dr. ( founder) who fought hard for pallative care for his patients finds himself in need of it. He speaks out about it and his own feelings about facing death.
My husband's pallative care Dr. Tyndall (in Mar- April 2009) is also in this video.
He was very caring. Its nice to see him again although it was a difficult almost unreal experience to go through. I'm posting it as a means of providing information about what is involved.

Hi Stardust. I didn't get to see the video- I'm guessing it's been archived now, but I'll look for it. I read the transcript, and was appalled that people are crammed into the waiting room - sitting on the floor and leaning on walls waiting for chemo.
This is Canada??
Anyway, I've seen a couple of amazing docs that I'd like to share. Let me know what you think if you are able to watch them. The first one is called "Dying at Grace", about palliative ward at Scarborough Grace hospital.
This other one, Serving Life, just haunted me (in a good way). I look forward to discussing it with anyone who watches it. This one is available on Netflix, if you have it, or Youtube seems to have it in 10 min segments.

You mean "Dying at Grace"? The full version (I just posted a preview) is at least an hour long. Maybe longer. Haven't seen it in a couple of years so I don't quite remember. It's well worth the time.

Hi Ninjafaery
I saw the Scarboro Dying at Grace one on TV also. I must say I'm not very good at handling the prospect of other's deaths or my own. I still have nightmares after watching that one. A friend phoned me to watch Dr. Larry Librach. Its still available as video on my puter if I scroll down to videos , wait a bit etc.
