It was just over a year ago that an Amber Alert was issued for three year old Kienan Hebert from Sparwood. Today another Amber Alert was issued for another three year old boy from that same town: Alvin Barnett. This time they believe that his father has taken him and that they may have crossed the border into Montana. Today was Alvin's birthday and apparently this happened during a supervised visit at a hotel room. How can an abduction take place during a supervised visit???
Thankfully Kienan Hebert was returned safely shortly after he was abducted. I can only pray that the same thing happens with little Alvin Barnett.
Here's a couple of articles on the case:

Thanks for posting, I haven't heard anything until this! The tv has been on and had the radio on earlier for the drive home. Hopefully he'll be safe with his father.

I'm curious though-It said his Dad was visiting with him on a SUPERVISED visit. Isn't supervision supposed to stop him driving off with the child?

You would hope so! I guess he either overpowered someone or had a weapon?

Like I said in the opener - that's what I want to know too!

Somegal, I found this:

So the visit was in a hotel room, but the two of them were allowed to leave it together without the supervisor? I don't know how supervised visits normally work, but that seems a little odd.

Exactly - it just doesn't make sense to me.
