Ours are coming up in the fall of 2014.  We have a mayor and seven councillors to be elected at this time.

Like all communities I'm sure, we've had some very controversial issues and difficult decision making isses in the last while - and some difficult decisions to be made in the months and years ahead (finances, crumbling infra-structure, cut-backs, etc. etc. etc.)

It is too early yet for those who are currently serving to indicate whether they are throwing their hats back in the ring.  But I would think that some will carefully consider it after some of the attacks and questionings they have incurred in the last months.  I wonder, who in my community will step up to the plate - and take the heat?

What about your community/area - are they lining up to sign on the dotted line willing to let their name stand for election, or re-election?  Or will vacanies abound?
