I lived in that riding for many years and am so excited to see Elizabeth May win! With her win it looks like there will be no Conservative MPs left in the Greater Victoria area.

Yeah, bless Vancouver Island! Here's a nifty interactive site where you can see how your riding etc etc did!
Did you vote green?

I did not - I voted for the NDP incumbent in my riding (I live just to the south of Saanich Gulf Islands). Although I am happy to say that the person I voted for won, it was not a surprise - so I am more ecstatic for Ms May's win because all the polls said it would be really close.

Wow, you live in PARADISE! :3 I <3 islanders! Different from us mainlanders, with our furrow'd brows and avoid strangers eyes! Island time...MMMMMM :3
My relatives used to have a place on Mayne Island that we could visit at any time. So my brother and I would take our bikes on the ferry and ride all over that island. And we'd spenda t least 1 day sick as we drank the water from the tap. Mmmm, mineral goodness! :3
Somewhere on the islands or near Ladysmith is where I would <3 to have a place.

I do indeed live in paradise! And I am headed to one of the most beautiful parts of that paradise tomorrow - the west coast. Yay!

Congratulations to Ms. May.
It cost the Green Party a lot in popular vote in order to get their leader into Parliament. The Party will not enjoy official status there. Was it worth it?
