I am still thinking and awaiting response from other WonderCafeers. It seems to me that we are living more and more in a corporate dominated society in which we listen to money more than we listen to ourselves. 

You guys keep using the word "bondage" in ways that are not nearly as interesting as the meaning I had previously associated with the word.

I think politicians still cater to voters more than corporations.  Look at the recent decisions about Internet usage caps, for example.  The big cable and broadcast companies wanted stricter caps, but a large public outcry has reversed that decision.

But I don't know what you mean by "It seems to me that we are living more and more in a corporate dominated society in which we listen to money more than we listen to ourselves."  My money sits in my wallet or in my bank account.  It doesn't speak to me all that often, other than to complain that it is lonely and would like some friends.  I don't even know where to begin commenting on that.  Maybe I'm not alone?
