(Joh 17:16) 16 They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.
what did jesus mean? did he seek prominence in the political system of his day? he could have been the best king ever, he would have lived forever and after all he was the exact representation of his father, so he would of had perfect justice and wisdom?
but wait... why did he say he was no part of the world?
why did he die for all mankind like a criminal?
(1Jo 2:15-17) 15 Do not be loving either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world"”the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one's means of life"”does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. 17 Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.
because he was doing the will of his father, and it was his fathers will for jesus and his followers to support GODS kingdom, and god saw fit for it to rule from heaven..and for it to take control of mans affairs in the FUTURE, not back then when everyone wanted to make jesus king...
gods kingdom is a real government and its going to rule over the whole earth...
(Mt 6:9-10) 9 "YOU must pray, then, this way: ""˜Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.
do we really believe it? do we believe somehow in some obscure way god is ruling now? WOAH are we in for a reality check..jesus tells us...
(1Jo 5:19) 19 We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.
(2Co 4:3-4) 3 If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
wait a minute you say! satan isnt the ruler of the world! well then how could satan say this to jesus...
(Mt 4:8-9) 8 Again the Devil took him along to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, 9 and he said to him: "All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me."
jesus would have corrected satan and said wait up you cant give me what isnt yours, but he didnt...jesus knew satan has control of ALL the kingdoms of this world...and thats the only reason satan could logically offer them to jesus and be any sorce of temptation...jesus resisted cause it was not gods will
wait but there are more scriptures...
(Joh 12:31) 31 Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
..satan will be dethroned, and jesus will be enthroned...
(Da 2:44) 44 "And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;
so now we can all be anarchists and hate the governement and not pay our taxes! well not so fast...

the governments are placed in their "relative" positions by god...and are serving a purpose by keeping a degree of order in this world..yet that does not mean they are a manifestation of gods government or his final solution, for we know...
(Ec 8:9) . . .that man has dominated man to his injury.
theres hope, because god wont let things stay like this forever...we are now in the last days as jesus prophecied and soon, we get to cast our vote..and it will be far simpler then it is now..
we either vote for jesus via gods kingdom, or the antichrist vai satans kingdom.... one results in everlasting life [on the EARTH, as in heaven], and the other results in everlasting CUTTING off [not hellfire folks] SEE mat 25:46 below...
(Mt 25:46) . . .these will depart into everlasting cutting-off, but the righteous ones into everlasting life."
well thats all good and well but what about all the ppl who died in the bloody history of mankind?
paul says :(Ac 24:15) 15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
time to get out those bibles and see what it says...cause now were getting into something else entirely..the dead are DEAD, just that..sleeping as jesus put it, not in hell or heaven..they are AWAITING a resurrection to everlasting life for the righteous and of judgement/trial for the unrighteous...meaning if they repent in the coming system of things ruled by god, they will be allowed to continue living! after all why would god resurrect them just to send them back into unconsciousness...dont make much sense does it?

What do you believe you are praying for when you repeat these words? Often times many don't know. The words come automatically to our mouths and we don't really know what we are praying for. God's Kingdom is a heavenly one. Soon it will take over all human governments

See, Jesus preached forgiveness. Jesus = God.
Now, I already AM an anachist, so when I saw taht, I thanked you silently for religous justification for throwing molotovs at police stations.
I'm not going to yet.
But, I want to say that since God has not forgiven us, seemingly on how we are still dying, being hurt ans such, why should I care for the system that he has put in place?
I mean, I think I'll bust up this system so I can tell God, when I get to the top, that I get it, we did a bad thing by eating the forbidden fruit, and We're sorry for that by now.
I'm not going to do anything today, it's Rememberance day. I would not disgrace the warriors of the past by waging war on the first day of thier peace.
But, that was a cool read, thanks.

only those righteous people living during the time of the END [which many christians believe is now or soon], during the transition period of time between the great tribulation..through Armageddon into the new world, will infact LIVE only once and potentially forever.. the rest will be resurrected from the dead and given an opportunity to live forever...
jesus will conquer the enemy death [the old age death we get from being imperfect , not the kind where God remove evildoers] and put us into paradise on EARTH, as adam was..and given the chance to do things right...
if u dont want that chance, its fine, you can also sleep forever, for me, id rather belief and follow jesus and receive the gift hes willing to give to all mankind

Ok first of all, regarind police men, firemen etc. They die because they put their lives IN danger. As for the rest of mankind that die naturally, we die because our flesh is imperfect. That is why Christ is in power and will destroy death along with its minions when the appointed time arrives. When that happens, those that died faithfully and even some that did not will be resurrected and be made perfect physically. (john 3:16; 17:3; Psa. 37:10-11) Being faithful during this life time means you reap the benefits of Jesus' sacrifice, a resurrection to perfection in the earth.

Many Christians throughout history also thought it was in their immediate future. The followers of Jesus, for instance.
The years 1000, 1500 and 2000 AD were supposed to usher in the end (but obviously did not). So were many other dates over the centuries.
American preacher William Miller did some calcualtions based on Bibilcal prophecy and determined that the end would come sometime between March 21, 1843 and March 21, 1844. March 21 1844 passed without incident, so Miller recalculated the date to April 18, using a different Jewish calendar as his basis. That passed as well.
Subsequent calcaulations by Samuel Snow rendered a date of October 22, 1844. When that too passed, most of MIller's followers simply gave up. This was known as the Great Disappointment.
I think other disappointments await those expecting the End Times.

i hope i dont need to provide an expose of just how dangerous such a belief is. i used to be a believer and actually engaged in so-called 'spiritual warfare' for a while. it's a horrible mentality. it divides you from the rest of the world by a chasm that is being phrased in militaristic terms. the idea that most of the people you see belong to the dominion of satan and are bound to burn forever in hell is plain repulsive. i dont see how compassion can enter into such a mind-frame.
