My daughter forwarded the following link to me. It is a clear, succinct analysis of the issue of subsidization in terms of aboriginal peoples. I encourage you to take about 2 to 3 minutes to read this article.

The article is great and so are some of the refutations of the claims and accusations of angry idiot racists. I think we should cnsider a fundraiser to give Theresa Spence a few thousand hours of some seriously ruthless lawyer's time to sue some of these vile-minded people for defamation.

I'm sick at heart - reading so much racist, ignorant vitriol. They would have all members from remote Aboriginal communities leave their homes and land to cities so they can end payments!
Against all reason I feel cautiously optimistic that the Idle No More movement can begin to effect change in the relationship between First Nations & non.
Can't happen soon enough.

It certainly can't happen soon enough because the idea of the "final solution" didn't begin with Haper, and wont' end with him. I know that Trudeau openly speculated about finding some way to get rid of the very concept of native peoples.
