Admit it. You've always wanted one...

http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/story/2012/11/12/tec-invisibility-

I think many of us have imagined how much fun it would be to have such a cloak - just like H. Potter's! When would you use yours?

(me? Two words - "in camera")

There's been a conversation or three over the years when I would have given a great deal to be a fly on the wall.

Actually, I would find it completely useless. I enjoy being me- therefore I wouldn't want to hide.

I can't care less about gossip, I find it bad enough if I have to listen to it.

I don't have a partner that  would be suspicious of- but even if I did, I would address that directly.

I have no interest in famous peoples lives. I would never rob a bank- with or without invisibility...

Really, a robot that does my housework would be more useful.

I agree with mrs.anteater.  Sometimes I already feel invisible, that people are passing me by and ignoring me.  It is not a pleasant feeling.

On the other hand, in a few minutes I have to quit the Cafe and tackle my housework.  For one thing, Granddog was here for four days - hair is curling under the coffee table and in the corners.  And if I want Seelerman to wash the outside of the picture window, I'd better do the inside.   Bring me a tall robot with a broom and cleaning supplies.

I also agree that I'd have little use for one of these for any personal reasons.
Maybe I should have posted in "politics".
I feel we have the most secretive government ever. I want to know what's really going to happen as a result of passing those Omnibus bills.

Sample conversation.
"Hold the course boys. Soon we will have all the resources under our absolute control then no one can stop us!
BwwaaaaaaahahaHA!"

Overheard in the nursing home:

"Don't worry about Mrs. ____,
Her family never comes anyway."

I would definitely not use it to observe large predators like Grizzly bears up close & personal....

If I had an invisibility cloak and it was unique or rare, I'd just make a killing hiring myself out as a spy or thief.

Might have some fun with it, too. You could stage some great practical jokes with it.

Spongebob and Patrick already tried the invisible ptactical joke thing. It worked well for them for a while but in the end they got caught with their pants down. later they became the butt of jokes!blush

Haven't seen that episode. My son wasn't into Spongebob for very long. Obviously, one must wear pants even while invisible. Unless you're having invisible sexcool.  But that could get tricky if you're both invisible. surprise
