I noticed on another thread a reference to Marie Barone. I am a big fan of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and continue to watch the re-runs. One of my favourite episodes was the "suitcase" episode where Deborah & Raymond were refusing to carry the suitcase upstairs. What's your favourite episode?

I don't watch the show much, but I absolutely love when the mom and dad (can't remember their names!) have this conversation:
She - "I'm not just some trophy wife you know."
He - "What contest in hell did I win??"
Or this one:
She - "Close your mouth before you chew."
He - "Close your mouth before you talk."
I laugh everytime I see this when they advertise the show!

there is one episode where one of the twins is playing basketball and starts running around with his hands down through his shorts and making a funny face. If your not familiar with the episode it may sound weird, but man does it make me laugh.

EZ Answer: This is one of the greatest character reveals of the entire sit-com. I laugh every time I see this episode.

Sigh"¦I have REAL problems with "Everybody love"¦"¦" I made a diligent effort to watch and enjoy last season, but I failed. As a Family Therapist (out of the game now) and a person who has survived the breakdown of a marriage and a subsequent divorce, I don't find it funny in the least. It is painful to me and overwhelmingly disrespectful of the roles in the show. Let your children watch this show for awhile, and see what they begin to say to one another, and to you!!
I hate to be a killjoy, but if a "comedy" show was ever set up to help people learn how to destroy a relationship, or get out of a marriage, "Raymond" is it.
