Anyone know of any great (& free) websites to teach fiddling to beginners?
I've Googled and searched Youtube but am having trouble finding ones that are worth my while.
Thanks!

Sorry no . Maybe search beginner violin tutorial on Youtube? I expect violin and fiddle is the same to learn the scales and frets...

Violins (aka fiddles) have no frets, so they are much harder to play than, say, a guitar. I tried--I took lessons--but gave up. You must learn to put your finger on exactly right the place or it is off-key.
I am sure you could find something on on Youtube or a book.

My brother in law fiddles. He sometime attends a "fiddle camp" to improve technique.

I didn't look too far into it, but it looks like it has enough to get you started:

Thanks everyone. I'm tired of seraching youtube and Googling as it's not going so well. So far the fidderman seems good though.
I'm not sure what Mike is refering to.
