and of course, here there is a last gasp of winter.

70km gusts of wind.  freezing temperatures.  very moist air.  hail.  rain.

(i don't understand my bod -- i was walking with my mom and her pup on the dike in shorts during this weather and my legs didn't feel it at all, but my head felt it, parts of my face going numb...hmm)

oh, and in case you northern hemisphere folks are looking up at the sky at night and are wondering what those bright and steady lights in the sky are?

facing west, there is Venus and Jupiter (Venus will be the brightest object in the night sky and Jupiter will be really close to Venus) and roughly in an W-E line from Venus will also be Mars, Saturn and (close to sunset) Mercury.

Hey Inanna, I took your advice and went straight outside on the 21st to see the planets. Venus is so gorgeous! Mars is so red! I've been watching them each night since. Thanks for the reminder to go look!
