How many songs...

I was just adding a CD I got while in town yesterday to my iTunes and saw that it put me up to 1317 songs with a 3.7 day play time(there are more I would like to get but havn't been able to find and don't have the money to get at the moment). And so, I ask you, all knowing, all powerfull people of the interwebs, how many songs are on you'r computer and are there more songs/albums that you would like to get?

Are there more albums I would like to get? Are you kidding? There's masses of stuff I'd like to get. Stuff that has been building up for ten years in some cases! My list book has four and a half pages of albums I'd like to get.

I don't have any music on the computer though, it's all on cd, lp and cassette. And we have enough of that to play maybe for a solid week. Hubby tallied it up a few years ago, so it might be longer than that now. We get a lot of second hand cd's.

1334 songs, and that's about 2/3 of my "active music collection."  By that, I mean the stack of CDs I listen to on a fairly regular basis -- I typically listen to each and every of those CDs at least once every few months.  If I'd put it all on my 8 GB iPod Nano, I don't know if I'd be able to actually fit everything.

I then have a large stack of CDs in my "inactive music collection."  By that I mean the CDs that I rarely listen to, but am not ready to get rid of.

As for albums I want, I typically buy what I want as soon as I realise I want it.  But, still, there are maybe half a dozen CDs I haven't gotten around to buying, and there are another half dozen or so that I'm looking forward to being released this fall.

There's also a lot of stuff I don't know yet that I want.  I love exploring iTunes, particularly their indie stuff and French Canadian stuff.

PS: My play time is 3.6 days.  Since I have more songs than you, that must mean mine are, on average, shorter than yours.

Although I already have 2906 songs in this computer (about 9,3 day play time), I still don't have all the material I would like to. I guess that if I had all albums I want, I wouldn't be able to store everything in one single computer.

I mostly use Pandora to listen to music. That way I can discover new artists I like in the genre I enjoy. Unfortunately, trditional Irish folk and Maritime folk isn't a big section in the local mega-music-salad store

1734 songs at the moment. But those are just the songs I have bought/downloaded since October (my computer crashed and I have been to lazy to take my old music off my parents compu and back onto my laptop).

Do I want more albums? Are you kidding me!? I love getting new albums whenever I get to the cd store, its an hour away, I always buy 3 cds I have been waiting to buy and then 3 more that are up in the recommend cds for the genres I typically like. (punk/alternative)

I used to buy more when I was a teen, but then I had more spending money then! Still, it has never been enough!! I'm woefully behind. Oh woe is me! Bo Hoo!

Witch: Do you have to pay to use Pandora?

Well, I just checked Pandora and discovered that it is not available to anyone outside the USA.
