Inspired by another thread in the Pop Culture forum, here's a thread for admirers of older music (and the machines it was played on). Anyone else care to admit to remembering this song, these records, or this type of phonograph?

I can't say I recognize that but I do like plenty of music that a fair number of people in my age group have never heard of. A few examples:
The Righteous Brothers
Vern Gosdin
Don Williams
The Statler Brothers
Ian Tyson
The Everly Brothers
Conway Twitty
Earl Thomas Conley

I like that old stuff too RedBaron. And have always wanted a phonograph. I really like My Blue Heaven, The Varsity Drag, and Black and Tan Fancy. I've only got one 20's cd, and a tape of old tunes played on an antique piano, which I love, and want to get more. I also like the 30's and 40 tunes, especially Marlene Dietrich, Helen Forrest, and Bob Eberly. Another thing I have is a tape of the Edwardian steel disc music box tunes from O'Keefe Ranch Historic site, which has an enchanting antiqueness to it.
