It is a common enough weed, but not the weed. I don't know its name. It is much smaller than a pot plant, and the leaves are jagged differently than those of a pot plant, and much smaller.

I agree with ninjafaery. The leaves place it in the Cinquefoil family. Typically has yellow flowers but depending upon the exact type it may have red or white flowers.
