At the end of Beauty and the Beast, Beast turns into a human. How come in the direct to video sequals (Magic Christmas and the like) hes a Beast again?

and still on the topic of disneys 'beauty and the beast', what did they do for furniture in the castle once everything got turned back into humans again???
