Worship Software for Mac

Does anyone know of any good worship specific presentation software for Mac's. There are a number of options for PC's, but I'm having trouble finding something comparable for my Mac. Right now I'm stuck using Powerpoint for Mac, but I'd like to move to something church specific.

Personally, I think Mac users worship Apple too much already. =)

What is it you need exactly? Little crucifixes and heavenly light and choir effects?

"Worship Software for Mac"...

Ummm... ok... as long as I don't have to worship software for Microsoft. ;)

Because I'm into opensource, I use OpenOffice's Impress (which is available for the Mac OS).

(Confessional statement coming up:) When I want more control, though, I tend to use Flash.

Have you checked out Sunday Plus... or MediaShout... or LiveWorship?

Have fun!

Mediashout is great for PC, but it's still developing a Mac version. I got the free trial of LiveWorship, but found it didn't work very well. I'll have to check out the other one.

Could you be specific about what a worship presentation software package would do? And, what model of Macintosh will you be using to make this presentation?

Nighthawk says that Mac users worship Apple.
I don't know why it is that Windows users seem to want to ridicule Mac users. I think the truth is that Mac users enjoy their computers and can't believe the nonsense that Windows users have been persuaded to accept as normal computer- activity-viruses, crashes, freezing etc.
As a Mac user and a United Church member it has always been a sore point with me that the powers that be in the United Church do not create software for both the Mac and the PC. As a Mac user I am usually shut out of any downloads offered by the church. For instance, I cannot use the worship planning resources offered in conjunction with Voices United. Sigh. It makes me realize what visible minorities experience in our culture all the time. And I do not think it should be condoned by the United Church of Canada.
People should be free to choose the operating system they want and not be overlooked or left out because of it.

By the way, Apple has found a way to overcome this problem. We Mac users always find a way to adapt without letting go of our essential Macness. Now, on the intel Macs, if you absolutely cannot find the software you are looking for, you can boot your machine with Windows and run any PC software you like. That way you can have your Mac and PC too!! Life just got better for people with Macs. We don't have to switch to PC in order to use that fabulous Windows-only software. Check it out AHyde!

What is worship software? Does it say the Lord's Prayer? Play Amy Grant? Have stained glass screen savers?

To clarify, what I'm talking about is software to be used on a laptop in conjunction with a LCD projector in worship services (for visuals, video clips, song lyrics, etc.). We, and many churches, use this kinda set up in our contemporary worship services (replacing hymn books and bulletins).

PowerPoint is the classic presentation software, but in recent years companies have put out programs that are more geared to church use. Often these will have built in song databases, various versions of the bible, and worship appropriate graphics. The better ones also allow for live video feed, video file backgrounds (over which you can layer text), recording, video clip isolation tools, and are compatible with more common programs like PowerPoint. MediaShout and EasyWorship are two of the better ones, but neither has a Mac version yet.

I'll have to look into getting Windows on my Mac, and maybe using that to run one of these programs in the mean time. Thanks.

Ah, a Mac thread...I'm practically giddy right now... :-)

I use OpenSong (http://www.opensong.org) as I have all Macs and I manage a youth praise band. Not sure if it will work for all your needs but I enjoy it.
