It's almost that time of year again, when the Queens and Kings among us Rulers of the World choose the 'best of the best'.
Why let them have all the fun? Here is your chance to show us which movies YOU would nominate.
Here is a partial list for me:
Kooky -- Animated feature, cinematography
Creation -- Director Jon Amiel
After.Life -- Adaptation from screenplay
Exit through the gift shop -- Documentary
The human centipede - Sound editing
The Room by Tommy Wiseau -- Picture
Machete -- Film editing
Buried -- Sound mixing
Helen Mirren -- Actress, the tempest
Javier Bardem -- Actor, Biutiful

Well, I must be really out of it cause the only name I know there is Helen Miren. I have in the past watched the award show for suggestions as to what to rent! I can't think of even one superb film of 2010!

Elanorgold,
there is gold to be found amidst all the dross. I share your feelings aboot 2010; thank goodness for my eclectic tastes and good fortune, otherwise, I would think that 2010 was a wasteland year for movies :3
Kooky
Creation
After.Life
Exit through the gift shop
The human centipede (link is to IMDB -- I won't link to the trailer)
The Room
Machete (I've been waiting for this one, ever since the movie Grindhouse came out -- the best thing aboot that double feature for me was the trailers -- and that tickled my funny bone, because here we are in a 'fake' movie with 'fake' trailers! -- and one of the trailers was for Machete, starring one of my favourite character actors, Danny Trejo)
Buried (I liked the sound the most in this movie. The entire movie takes place inside a coffin buried underground)
Biutiful

Oh! The Darwin movie! I wanted to see that. Thanks for all those trailers. Some of them look a mite scarey...I will proceed with caution!

Yeah, I'd recommend The Human Centepede only to those who like outrageous horror...and those who adored Dieter Laser from the TV series Lexx :3

We watched Creation last night and really enjoyed it. As I said in the r&f thread, I liked how they showed both sides of life on earth, the rot and the flowering. ANd how real if felt. Poor man having such a wife, glad it worked out in the end for him.
