WC News -- The great silence descends again on that small, out-of-the-way, ramshackle house at the edge of Wont & Merriment.  Or so some of the visitors say.

"This has happened a few times before," Gew You See, a giant ocular device, said. "One moment the person is there, the next, POOF!"

"Yeah, I knew them, sort of," Chained Son, an egregarious maker of some buildings said, "When I first came there I was all 'whoah, bad building'...but it grew on me."

At TRIUMF, at UBC, we contacted Eye Winner, the local scientific explainer and gadabout.  "You seeink, our culture is like this glass of water that I have specially dissolved quite a lot of salt in it...now watch what happens when I add just a bit more..."

"That is exactly what I think happened.  It would be easy to mistake that for a 'haunting'."

Intrigued, we went to the local RCMP and asked for their opinion.  Ms. Penguin, Psychiatrist, was only available for comment.  "I think it was a result of psychological forces.  When people get together, all sorts of uncomfortable and volatile behaviours can come into effect..."

White Cinch, the local Ennervatist, said of the event, "The really annoying thing is that we now have disjointed conversations hanging around the place.  So when new people come in, it is like a big puzzle..."

The local Armchair Skeptics had this to say.

"It's a shame, really," Archduke Ferdinand wrote us, "Another blessed one gone and all over personal offence.  Look at what happened to me?  Did I get offended?"

No damages have been claimed at this time, though a group calling themselves The Real Authority has claimed responsibility.
