He's gone now; he's staying with his dad tonight because it's a lot closer to the hospital and he has to be there at 6am. I miss him and I'm feeling kind of sad. I really hope everything goes well...that the cancer hasn't and won't spread any further, that he recovers quickly and well, and that he doesn't have any lingering problems from having all those lymph nodes removed. I'd like to go back to our life again for a long, long time.

Mists - do you have anyone staying with you? This might not be a good time to be alone. My prayers are with you. I'll be thinking of you and Jim tonight and tomorrow.

My parents have come for the week. They'll be able to take Rachel to school and pick her up and take care of her when I visit Jim in the evenings, although I do plan to bring her to see him, too, depending on how he's feeling.

Hi Mists...thinking of you. Hoping the surgery goes well, and Jim and your life can get back to normal as soon as possible. This must be very upsetting for your daughter. Good that your parents are with you and her.

Mists, my prayers are with you and Jim. May those surgeons be guided by God tomorrow. I pray that, as Jim heals, your whole family will feel God's loving and healing arms surround you. May you see God's love in action in words, thoughts and actions of all those people you will encounter over the coming days.

Mists I am so sorry this challenger has landed in your lives. I wish for a successful surgery tomorrow and a recovery to full health. Please drop in as you can and keep us up to date - and lean on the loving souls around you in real life.

Wishing and praying for easy uncomplicated surgery.
Glad both sets of parents can help out.
While you are being brave Mists also take time to do what your heart tells you too.
Do you get 4 personal leave days in your contract-as many school divisions do?
Think about when taking them makes the most sense.
You will know more after the surgery,
May you receive God's comfort tonight.

I am saying a prayer for both of you now... My best wishes for your husband and a virtual hug for you.

Stay positive, gather information, and learn what you can. It harder to be overwhelmed or surprised when you know some of the words and understand the road ahead.
As Kay mentioned, lean on those around you. Chances are, you've earned that right.

May you and Jim feel yourselves being held tenderly, lovingly, and carefully, in the center of God's love.

Mists - It's been a week now. I'm holding you and Jim in my prayers, hoping that he is recovering from his surgery now, and that you have time to relax before you face the next step.
