WAS checking out the headlines today when this article showed up...

Three’s company for millions of Canadians, with more than one in five sexually active adults – 22 per cent – saying they’ve done the deed with two or more partners at the same time, and another 29 per cent saying they’re open to the idea.
The admissions are among the risqué revelations uncovered by Playtex and Environics Research Group in a new nationwide sex survey that pulls back the sheets on where we do it, who we do it with, and how often. The results collectively confirm that when it comes to intimacy, the True North is indeed strong and (very) free.
ANd in a canoe??? REally? How does one do that?? (On second thought maybe I would rather not know)
COmments?????

Talk about rocking the boat!
(don't forget to wear a personal flotation device)

I have done it in a canoe—carefully.
According to Pierre Burton, one is not a real Canadian unless one has done it in a canoe.

Farley Mowatt used to say he was conceived in a canoe.

I could see doing it under a canoe (trippers sometimes use their canoes as part of their shelters), but not in one unless it was safely grounded. Of course, I'm a poor swimmer and therefore somewhat nervous in a canoe to start even when using it for its intended function.
On the broader question, we are a big, cold, rather spreadout country and the hockey season does not (as hard it is to believe) run all year so we have to have another hobby on the side.
And we're averaging 12 partners in a lifetime (with only 17% reporting lifetime monogamy)? Busy little beavers, ain't we?

The trick in a canoe is to keep your hands off the gunnels.

*snicker*
My hands would be in a lot of places but certainly not the gunnels.

When things get exciting in a canoe - the inexperienced tend to grab the gunnels - and that's when you flip.

A Boy and a Girl in a Little Canoe
Written By: Unknown

Just a boy and a girl in a little canoe
With the moon shining all around
As he glides his paddle
You couldn't even hear a sound
And they talked and they talked
Till the moon grew dim
He said you better kiss me
Or get out and swim
So what you gonna do in a little canoe
With the moon shinin' all a--
Boats floatin all a--
Girls swimmin' all a rou-ou-ound!
Do you remember this camp song?

LOL - I remember that song, albeit with slight different lyrics and a different ending. My version ended:
So you know what to do in a little canoe,
When the moon is shining all a-
The moon is shining all a-
The moon is shining all around
GET OUT AND SWIM!
What the heck, stay and neck!

Don't really remember the words, but I definitely remember the song!
There were some great camp songs. (Explorers and CGIT camp in my case.)
