For the last three years Valentines Day has ended my relationships. I am always single on Valentine's Day or just a few days after. I think next year I will have to have a strategy to avoid it altogether like Christmas.

It's okay, I spent valentines with ice cream.

There is life without men! All my relationships fizzled eventually (I did get two kids out of it, but had to bring them up alone).
I am in my late fifties and not minding being single at all.

Wouldn't be so hard if one of my nieces was not pregnant and the other engaged. They are ten and five years younger than me :(

I hear you. It would be harder for me if I didn't have children.
But some unmarried women make a deliberate decision to have a child, even knowing they will have to bring it up on their own. True, this violates a ton of moral rules, but I am not willing to say it is automatically bad, if that woman is mature and able to support and raise a child.
