I think Canada is largely a middle class society, divided into upper and lower middle class, without a clear dividing line between the two.
I'll have to think about class images, tastes, and sounds. Right now the smell of freshly made pasta sauce drifts down into my study. A middle class smell? Anyway, time to eat, or the cook will get angry. It doesn't pay to anger the cook. A middle class insight?

When I think lower class, I see trailer courts. But hold, hold it, my granddaughters and son-in-law lived in a mobile home in a trailer court, and they are not lower class.
When I think lower class, I see people who are poorly educated. But I only have grade 8 education, and I am not lower class.
When I think lower class, I see people who are poorly dressed. But I spent a good part of my life barefoot and in overalls, and I am not lower class.
I think the really low class people are those who are uppermost: The billonaires who got rich and keep getting richer at the expense of their fellow beings and the natural environment.
