It's a process that's been going for a while n4p. Ever checked out Google Translate? All MS has done is make the process fast and powerful to be used for simultaneous speech translation rather than for translating written text.

And, as others suggest, it is still going to miss a lot of nuances and fine points of dialect and such. That is until we hit a "singularity" and actually produce a truly independent, thinking artificial intelligence. However, that will raise much bigger problems than the impact of computer-based translation.
