We all have ideas about the Emerging Spirit campaign. We all speak up here. I have sent comments to the Observer from posters on the Grass Roots thread. Maybe they will be printed in June Observer.
But what can we do?
How can the voice of the people be heard at General Council?
How can the decision to keep the initiative ( and WonderCafe) be influenced by us?
Any ideas?

I filled in the survey that Emerging Spirit sent me.
We could write letters to the Observer.

Cross post from the other discussion:
I was in the shower this morning (my family was grateful...) and I had a thought- a series of 15 min dvds in place of big workshops - maybe several per disc
I can see these being show in Council meetings, worship times or intros, or right after, study nights, retreats, etc. The video idea makes it more likely to have impact, be borrowed by anyone, be remembered. Churches could be given or buy a complete set, or small kits, or each dvd.
Seriously!! Webinars might be added, speakers available sometimes - take it to the congregation to meet their needs - maybe use an online questionnaire to help them identify their goals.
The new UC/ES site could outline what is on each, give short clips of the dvds, discussion room, webinars, tip of the week/month, links to cafe or an online store for coffee etc, contests for best tips, etc -
My brain is going to hurt after this.

Sorry - that wasn't a post about how to get Gen Council's support, but a useful plan
I think a combination of 'why this is important' and 'what should be the next steps?' is critical - to show that ES has been important, and that even though there have been holes, we're confident that ES is the way to continue in particular ways.
We need to show grassroots engagement of the ES program and own it by sharing ideas. I dont' believe that ES was poorly done -just a new start on strange territory. No different than any other epic journey.
