This was posted on a UU Facebook page I follow (I Am UU) and I thought that while the piece and the subsequent discussion are UU, the issue of how to be a missional church in a theological diverse environment is one that the UCCan may increasingly confront. Not expecting much discussion on this, but thought it might be enlightening to some of you.

Hi Mendalla:
To me, the unity of being speaks out of nature. Indigenous North American spirituality summarizes this unity in their sacred benison: All My Relations.
Nature is our church in which all is/are one unified whole. If we turn away from the distracting chatter of our thoughts, and just experience, then we experience the unity that underlies all diversity.
The universe ITself is the ultimate United Universalist Church.
And we all are an inseparable part of IT, whether we like it or not.
