genties and ladlemen,
I have made this little thread for all of us who are still wondering aboot the ins and outs of posting. Things like "How DO I bold something?", "How do I embed a video?", "How do I cut n paste?"
So this thread is for us all to experiment with. A virtual sandbox that I hope people will use and bemuse themselves with and I hope that this thread can be made sticky, somehow...
and remember, when you think wonder, think WonderCafe!

Y'mean it's all about tech support? I was excited - anticipating playful WC'ers all building castles together & being nice.
I'm taking my resin dinosaurs & I'm going home.

Interesting that Ninjafaery saw the word "sandbox" and thought this would be a thread where people go to play nice.
I thought just the opposite. I saw the word "sandbox" and thought this was a thread for all the immature, childish, and egocentric posters to go and throw virtual sand in each others' eyes.
I'll come back if I need tech support.

It is a place for catharsis ... although in the chaos of linguistics .... you may make anything of it as Ö, it's awesum ... or isth at
Even Black At's love de sun ... you can see it in the recessive pupils ... dilated vision or just the effect of nocturnal jinns? And they always ask OW' ... they generally don't care "Y" ... the Shadow of their existence gnu ... as awash!
Cats are like that independant thinkers ... makes a good Icon in reality ... not like the Semite ... mani people take these as unreal words ... don't know their phone ETix ...

Schrödinger cats are welcome. They exist and do not exist, and what they leave behind is equally existent and non-existent.

I think it's a great idea, InannaWhimsey.
Especially for posters like me who aren't very tech-savvy. (I'm not twitterpated with Twitter.)
I was just fascinated with the different associations we made with the term "sandbox."

O to understand the tongues of all men and whoa m'n ... the vision stoppers! Causes some blindness in the intellectual field. The creation did say there would be an adversary sent ... but who'd know it as bait for the unknown ... as chi came secondary as a beta ... like psyche carrying thought ... water carrier ... Aquarius? MIre strange metaphor to cloud the issue and make life more interesting ...
In this manner one could initiate an understanding of all-that-is ... the ill-iterates not quite getting it ... as a word of GOD! Moor took eM!
They were scared off by the redaction on that big tree being dangerous and covering up for great wisdom ... like looking into AVATAR ... some deep eh bi ... heavy metal har-monis ... like currancy, or Koine in exchange for dumb wisdom in the Jinns ...

Teck-savvy? Not me.
In the 70's I got a computer. Learned BASIC. Great!
About 8 in vancourver got together and communicated (Argued). Great!
Yesterday I visited a Muslem friend and talked to his mother split screen, me and her.
...and she was (is) in Iran! Great! A mind boggle great!

Hi WaterBuoy:
My wife was in a psychiatric clinic for six weeks. She is out now, but not quite out of the woods yet; she is scheduled for another six weeks of intensive therapy and counseling. Copying with all that and supporting her took up most of my spare time.
But now I am back, happily playing in the sandbox of my choice.
Men must be allowed to play in the sandbox of their choice, or they will get cranky and won't eat their supper.

You'd be surprised of how easy it is to get a man cranky ...
Sometimes just a simple bit of metaphor will drive em over the hill ...

Why a man will not consume gravid, fertile or other attractive things in preferrence to creating conflict over something they don't even know if it would make a good feista ...
Consider the nature of the lobster in the Maritimes during the depression ... considered only good for fertilizer but as the old story goes: Don't Let Then Smell The Lobsters Cooking was a grand theme of how some po'folk survived ...
Hardshells are also to be treated the same way ... to a good Jew the clam is foul ... perhaps due to the ancients Jues feelings about currencey derived from dirty actions? Mudder of God of the great expanse ... re leave us! This would be akin to shamayim ... the wadis over head? Plugs the tubes of reflection like desire to bite the foot off a clam ... that's ole mon! Deaf Ute of the hardshell!
Then you'd have to know the derivation of Ute ... what goes around comes around as inteligence and emotions do Circe's ... like donkeys drawing water ... life has the oddest metaphors to collect ... conside God and the soul elimination ... a wee detailing ...

some things that i have found to be helpful:
to help keep track of my own threads, in the tags i put my nick. cue funny jokes aboot being bigger than g_d...
to help in searching for older WC threads, i don't like using the search function in WC as i find it not fine-tuned enough and as slow as a pregnant baboon so i just google search for the thread and also include wondercafe...
when writing a post, i tempt fate if i write it in WC itself...there have been many times when i've accdentally hit the BACKSPACE key and lost a cherished post...wordpad is my friend...

Actually, for Google searches, adding the qualifier site:www.wondercafe.ca will narrow your results to only show results from wondercafe. Using Wondercafe as a search term can still pick up non-WC results (e.g. United Church websites that mention WC). My wife teaches searching and information retrieval to library school students and I picked up this trick from her.
Example search to find posts that mention Blue Rodeo (e.g. my thread on them on Pop Culture):
site:www.wondercafe.ca blue rodeo

How to Embed Videos
(WC only accepts the old embed codes and not the new ones. if the 'use old embed codes' isn't a selection in a particular youtube video, you can try to convert it to an old embed code by going to this website)
What the plain text editor does is shows you the hidden format codes that tells this website how to format the text...try it on an old post of yours...edit it and then click on "Switch to plain text editor" and you'll see what may look like a bunch of gobblydegook...in the old days, that was how we had to do word processing...we had to tell the computer "Ok, starting after this comma, make the sentence italic and right after the c in italic stop making the letters italic."
These codes are called HTML tags...the list of allowed HTML tags on WC are below the "Switch to plain text editor" link
(so the HTML tags for the above embedded video looks like this in the plain text editor
<object height="315" width="560"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IFsNGFTDea8?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><embed allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IFsNGFTDea8?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560"></embed></object>
)
The only way to learn how to use these is to experiment. Which is why I made this thread, mainly, for people to experiment freely...
ALSO
might i reccommend to those here whose bandwidth is limited (and for whom embedded videos eat up that bandwidth) that they try out an add-op/app for Firefox called Flashblock. when turned on, any program that uses flash (like youtube videos do) doesn't automatically munch away at your precious bandwidth but, rather, to view the video you have to click on it...:3

Google search is a good idea, you can even include the site name, for example,
.
To search for "sandbox" enter,
.
sandbox site:wondercafe.ca
.
Or go to Google advanced search.

I need one for my Church. No, not the church I go to, MY church: The Church of Variable Liklihood -- It's grown now to eight members. The only church I know of that will not accept money or gifts.
We (I) will no longer accept new members. Sorry.

Sounds exclusive ... or perhaps just a satirical thought on shunning, which is disinterest in the rest of "soma" ... the body of God (all-there-is) if there is any light in that dark spot of abstract on precognizance! Don't discount the wee bits ...
Perhaps these are things you don't wish to know and would like to remain ignorant of?
It's biblical, God's children don't wish to know! Could there be an alternate consciousness about such things and anon-things ... X marks the spot! It is archetypical if you get those words that people don't like to hear (rhetoric) makes "eme" somnolant ... ignorant of the whole body or "soma". Perhaps all of this is just a dream or somewhat imaginary. Are Imaginary Noz. critical to electric functions? Is the brain a choqan example ... of dirty charges ... just mire, not mir! Perhaps merry/marie in the shadows like didimus? Some doubt is involved for what would I know as a crazy person? It is a label I inherited from the elitists ...
Can a person with awareness see a beauty in a stone ... just chip away at it patiently ... a virtual activity! As you get closer to the core it becomes more difficult and challenging, like teaching peopel strange things ... has to be made fun or phunof ... gets rise of the ID. Then who knows what that is as a mere thing ... from whence all things cometh ... like a contracted void. Lecrece had some interesting stories to tell of the variation in voids ... some gravid and some just so much bull that those that didn't listen carefully to the silence wouldn't know the extent of it for so much was excluded ... shunned like things to be learned in church. The shunning is so contageous even the ministry seldom understands ID ... as something that goes on and on ... like peda ... so corrupted he don know where it is all going ...
Did you know "don" is a hole of void in Celtic Myth ... like a space to hide thoughts in a dimension where thought is despised by Romantic Roué (sometimes spelled as rue, the sadness over whats missing in satyr, the abstract portion). Whats is known by aliens and we are charged with learning ...
Could be an isolating or divine experience to get it all together as in androgynous behaviour ... gathering thoughts intoatal or a integral ideal ... mostly in denial down here ... but in alternate quantum states could down be up? Isn't that a frothy state to beire ... like a brain in chaos ...
Few appear to understand chaos theory ... haven't unraveled it yet like that lady spinning in the tower ... putting all the spiritual gold back together? Perhaps in the world of logic and reason this is just mythological! After all if you look of the state of the human "body" is this dimension evidence of presence of logic? Must be elsewhere ... something one can dream and hope for ...
Is that close to imaginary, or eme-jinn-Eire ... a group in the myth, or beyond in a hole or space ... de vale? It is a thin expression that soak up all to be offered ... isn't that cunning ... keeps 'is 'ed down tue ... except when excitment hits ... anger, fear stuff like that blows eme out of proportion to where heh's goan ... natural fit ... crazy state "fits", or fids where things unravel!

i asked a good friend of mine who is my go-to person for matters computer (and is a total brain) and this is what he recommends:
"As for web development, some very basic knowledge in HTML is needed.
In fact, most mainstream websites have been written in HTML + CSS.
There are numerous websites, which offer free website templates (e.g.:
ww.freewebsitetemplates.com/templates/page-9 )
Since recent times, no knowledge in coding is reqruired to create a
quite decent website.
Here are a few Inexpensive and code-free (i.e., no coding/programming
skills are required) website development kits:
1,
a) Serif WebPlus X6 http://www.serif.com/webplus;
b) Website Maker MX (Version 6): http://www.magix.com/us/website-maker
c) XSite Pro: http://www.xsitepro.com
d) Xara Web Designer: http://www.xara.com/us/
e) Web Studio 5.o: http://www.webstudio.com
f) NetObjects Fusion XII: http://netobjects.com
g) 90 Second Website Builder 8: http://www.90secondwebsitebuilder.com/
h) WYSIWYG Web Builder 8: http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/index.html
2.
There is, also, a very good web development kit - Sitoo Web:
http://www.sitooweb.com/?utm_nooverride=1. However, its price does
bite - USD500.
3.
In fact, some individuals and etities just merely copy unprotected
websites (or rather download those into a local directory) with
so-called "website grabbers"/"grabbers" (e.g., HTTrack), modify them,
as need be, and then sell those to customers."

That's when you fall into Charlotte's Web ... an imaginary support system that's very abstract with classic tongues ... so modern Christianity won't know your thinking ...
Sort of like samite in construct ... so much to explain and expond on those bound in simony would cringe ... but once bit ...
Sort of like Mac the knife and the shark bite ... when the loaner version comes to recall the totally physical ... you don't think life comes for nothing ...
