your daily walk with the Lord Jesus -

Though we come from different Christian churches, we are One Body in Christ. It would be nice to learn from and share with one another, how we can walk more closely and intimately with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Some things we will have in common, others not. But once the Lord gathers His own, we will all worship together. Praise God.

I am a Roman Catholic Christian, so I worship the Lord at Holy Mass, where the Lord feeds us with His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Mass is celebrated everyday of the year, not just on Sundays. Some parishes have charismatic prayer groups which meet for praise and worship or "Life in the Spirit
Seminars. "Lift Jesus Higher" rallies are Spirit filled and uplifting and bring many fervent Christians to worship together. I also enjoy visiting with the Lord Jesus where He is reposed at the Tabernacle or during Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. When the Lord Jesus was in the garden at Gethsemani, he asked Peter, who had fallen asleep "so you could not stay awake with Me for even an hour? Be on guard and pray that you may not undergo the test." Mt 26:40 In the Catholic Church, people are encouraged to spend time with Jesus in front of His Eucharistic Presence - Time spent is known as "holy Hours" or adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. During Adoration, people spend time reading, praying or meditating on the Word of God or as they wish, in personal intimate conversation of the heart with the Lord; in petition, thanksgiving, praise. Some choose to meditate on the life of Christ with the prayer of the scriptural rosary. Others invoke God's mercy praying the Divine Mercy chaplet (prayers given to St Faustina by the Lord Jesus Himself). Many other devotions to saints as well. Apart from these expressions of the love of the Lord, I myself really enjoy listening/singing to contemporary worship/praise music and spiritual reading.

For me, the Lord Jesus is everything and I long to be with Him. I am sure there are other Christians who have this longing and love for the Lord. I would love to hear about your walk

My wife and I work as group home parents for a Christian organization and work with 6 great kids. Some of the many blessings about working in this organization is that we can freely share our faith with the kids, take them to church, pray with them and read the Bible with them. There is always worship music playing in the house and Bible reading after dinner. On a personal note, I Love Jesus with all of my heart. The church my wife and I attend is a Brethren Church. We have a traditional service, which consists of a devotional, 3 or more brothers reading from the Bible, followed by prayer after each reading and then a a few hymns. the end of the service concludes with the Lord's Supper and a final hymn. We also have a more contemporary service with a full worship band and a sermon. This is a very close church were everyone is treated like family and the Lord Jesus Christ is given all honor and glory. For me, Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. I thank Him every day for saving me. I am a new person because of His death and resurrection. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have past away;behold, all things are become new. 1Corinthians 5:17. It is with this change that the Holy Spirit has done in me that I am no longer a friend of the world but walk with Jesus as a child of God. I believe that daily Bible reading and prayer are an important part of our walk with the Lord and love just spending time with my Father in Heaven, He is my refuge and strength. I am also blessed that I am married to a very godly woman who shares my faith. We are always listening to Christian music artists such as Demon Hunter, Pillar and Skillet as well as worship music such as Casting Crowns and Jeremy Camp. There is nothing more important to me than my walk with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am looking forward to hearing from others on this topic. We can all learn something from everyone. Much love and God Bless.

I am a Jesusfreak too! - praise the Lord. Thank you for witnessing your love for the Lord Jesus. God has blessed you in so many ways and your love for Him is so evident. Did your parents teach you about the Lord and help you to have this great relationship with Him? If so, how tremendously blessed you were.
I only recently became familiar with Christian praise/worship music. I enjoy listening to Darlene Zschech "Shout to the Lord" and I love any song that praises the Nameof the Lord, like the song "Jesus, Name above all names..." I am not familiar with all the artists but I love listening to heartfelt lyrics. "Jesus, Lover of my soul, Jesus, I will never let You go. Taken me from the miry clay, lift my feet upon the Rock and now I know. I love You. I need You. Though my world may fall,I'll never let You go. My Savior, my closest Friend. I will worship You until the very end." I really wish we had a radio station in Toronto that plays Christian praise/worship music. In years past, did you participate in the March for Jesus parades that were held in Toronto and Hamilton? They were fun. Thank you for sharing. Let us pray for one another and all who share on this site, that they may give their lives up entirely to the Lord and prepare for His return. God bless

Hello PrazGod. I love sharing my faith in our Lord Jesus so thank you for starting this topic. My mother took me and my brother to church as young children. But as I got older I started to believe that I could do life on my own and did not need God (an obvious lie from satan). Then as a got into my 20's the life I was living began to make me feel disgusting. Then one day God very literaly and figuratively opened a door for me. From then on I could feel God pursuing me and helping me realize my need for a Savior. I was 25 when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I am in my 30's and I love Jesus so much, I can not and will not let Him Go. I hope to go back to school and earn a masters degree in Theology and Pastor a chruch. Here are some Worship artists you might like, Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Matt Redmond and any of the Third Day Offerings CD's. I am in agreement hat we need a Christian radio station in the GTA that plays praise and worship music. WDCX is o.k. but we need one closer. I believe strongly in the power of prayer. I love to talk with my Heavenly Father. I will pray that God will continue to bless you and that you will be a blessing to others. If there is anything you would like me and my wife to pray for you about, please feel free to email me. From one Jesus Freak to another- Much Love and God Bless.

theoblogger. I understand that you have and intrest in tightly gagged Baptists. Any one I need to pray for? I can understand your reaction to PrazGod and my posts. In this society of self-help, do what makes you feel good, all roads lead to God liberal propaganda, it really comes as no surprise that we would encounter a hostile attitude towards two people talking about their faith in Jesus. Am I to assume(yes i know what that does) by your post that you are not a believer in the Lord. If not, then that little cartoon satan on your web site sure looks silly. Let me know if I am wrong. Encoutering hostility because of my faith in the Lord Jesus is nothing new and quite expected. Jesus did say that if the world hates me, remember that it hated Him first, John 15:18. I only speak in love and truth. Hey. God Bless you. I'm just going to contiue to yak on about Jesus.

Hi, CF and PrazGod...

Question - do you see any differences between: "walking with Lord Jesus", "walking with Christ", "walking with the Holy Spirit" and/or "walking with God"?

Hmmm...

I didn't notice the date on the post above mine. If I had realized was so long ago, I wouldn't have asked my q'n.

Feel free to ignore.

Hi Tentmaker...

Thank you for responding to my q'n.

One of the things I've found (being toward the wacko liberal end of the theological spectrum in the Christian tradition) when chatting with people who speak out of more traditional Christian understandings, is that that I need to check what we mean by different terms.

One of the things that "hooks" me is language that suggests that I can do X with Jesus - no prob with the Christ, the Spirit, or God. When I check on the language, I often hear that the speaker doesn't see a difference, that gives me leave to translate it into a phrase that I can hear... and discuss.

Yeah. I have to remember to check the date. There's this strange wondercafe miracle of threads rising to the top, without human intervention.

RichardBott,

Hi,

You wrote:

No miracle really.

The dead corpse of a conversation decomposes and various gasses build within the corpse until it experiences positive buoyancy.

Quincy was teaching us that long before CSI.

Grace and peace to you.

John
