37 Years Of Kinsman Telemiracle in Saskatchewan

This is the weekend that each year in Saskatchewan, the residents raise money to help physically and intellectually blessed folk. It starts a 9pm Saturday until 5pm Sunday.
There are entertainers and over 40 talents from Saskatchewan. and is being held in Saskatoon this year.
The Arrogant Worms are here this year. Whoop!
Over a milllion dollars has been raised already .

Way to go Saskatchewan! How fun that The Arrogant Worms are there - I love that band!
BC has an annual telethon over the weekend closest to Valentine's Day called the Variety Show of Hearts - and like Saskatchewan event, it raises tons of money. In BC's case, it's used to help kids with medical and/or intellectual disabilities in ways that the government, insurance agencies, etc., either can't or won't. As an example, it recently bought the organization I work for a wheelchair accessible van. We have two children with wheelchairs in our program and this has allowed them to participate in activities as equals with the other children. An added bonus is that it is, by far, our nicest vehicle - so everyone wants to travel in it!
