CJMS has recently shared that her daughter has been diagnosed with leukemia.
Some of you willremember CJMS as our conductor of the Christmas wonderchoir, and others from her posts in various threads.
CJMS and her daughter have a wonderful spirit and I have learned a bit about the challenges of the treatments as they walk this journey.
The prognosis with leukemia is different than it was when I was a child or even for the children who were diagnosed just 10 years ago.
I thought that you would want to know and share with her your best wishes.

Thinking of CJMS at this time. I'm sending healing thoughts as this disease gets treated in the best way known to the medical staff.

CJMS - I can't even begin to imagine what you and your daughter (and all those that know and love you) are going through.
May you receive strength, graciousness, help, guidance, and endurance as you meet this battle and cancer head on . . . may you be cared for by those in your midst . . . may the medical staff be sensitive, caring, and wise . . . may peace find some tiny corner in your spirit and her's and may it grow and flourish moment by moment.
Caring thoughts are with you.

CJMS, that sucks. Attack it with her.
I recall you're in the GTA. If she visits Sick Kids this week before Friday morning, feel free to drop by Carter's room on 4D, room 26. It might be my wife there, but she's way nicer than I am, and is a better resource than I am as well.

CJMS
The treatment may be long and difficult but there are many success stories and cures in this day and age. I feel sure she will be well again. May the love and goodness of all the people here on the WC touch your daughter bringing her renewed energy, strength, and hope that she will be better with each passing day. For you too....a new and better tomorrow will come. Holding you both in my thoughts.

Thanks all for the kind wishes. Sarah is in very good hands and we are hopeful of a full recovery. I have been very blessed to have incredible family, friends acquaintances and people I've never even met supporting us in this time of need! Community is a wonderful thing.
I've started a website where I'm chronicling her journey. If you would like to view it message me with your email address and I will send you an invite. :)
Now I expect all of you to get back to rehearsal for the Christmas Extravaganza! I want more cowbell, less alto and more M & M's!! Redhead!!!!

CJMS, it's good to see you again, but unfortunate as to why you popped in.
Maybe the choir could get a song together for your daughter. Does she have a request? Her healing might go better without it though - depending on the singers!
Make use of the support you have when you need it. I've been praying for you guys since Pinga posted.

Glad to see you still have a sense of humor thoughout all this . . . sometimes being able to smile at the simple things helps us get through the very very difficult.
I occasionally watch reruns of SNL, and there is one with Christopher Walken (and I can't remember the musical talent that is with him in this sketch), but he keeps saying "I want more cowbell" . . .
Hope, peace, joy, love . . . to Sarah, and cjms
