The river's song, loons… cattle in the fields… wind in the poplars… the buzzing of bees…

Beach sand and salty sea air carried on FM radio waves of classic rock wafting along with it laughter and singing and smells of coconut oil on coppertone tans and the bells of the ice cream truck hotdog carts and cotton candy sticking to everything and stuck in my memory. Scents of cedar, and again the salty sea air and musty tents and crackling campfires. Freezer burned ice cubes making their debut in a tall glass of much awaited lemonade. Swimming pool smell in the hair and stuck to the skin. Windex and turtle wax, stinky feet- and patios, bbq smells and picnics with friends on damp grass- everything that the warmth of the summer sun brings out. I like it all, lest I forget anything as I get older. Must experience those things more often!

And here's a true master. He and his family were very hospitable to me when I made a pilgrimage to hear him play in Gela, in the Rhodope Mountains… one of the legendary birthplaces of Orpheus.
Do listen the whole way through… it's very beautiful and is so married to the landscape…
