Today is New Year's Day in Chinese and some other Asian cultures. Wishing you all a Happy and Prosperous Year of the Horse!!
If you have a birthday divisible by 12 between today and February 17, 2015 (i.e. you turn 12, 24, 36, ...), then this is your year.

Can't figure out how to resize images to make them smaller. All attempts have failed.

I was just told that if you are a horse in this year of the horse it makes it a more difficult or a self reflective year. Not sure....

Happy New Year Mandalla. How will you and your family be celebrating?
We actually celebrated a bit early with dinner at a favorite restaurant a couple days ago. Our Thursdays and Fridays are tight due to Little M's activities.
Oddly, the restaurant is Japanese with a smattering of Chinese and Thai. The Japanese used to celebrate this New Year but moved their New Year to January 1 in the 19th century or something like that.
