This is likely to be my last, or close to last, post on the original Wondercafe. My online time is getting more limited these days so I'm spending more and more of it at the new site. Wondercafe2 is looking great and I'm looking forward to spending time with you all there.
I joined Wondercafe looking for a friendlier place to discuss faith, religion, theology, and spiritual stuff than my main board at the time (rpg.net) where any discussion of religion seemed to end in grief. Not to slag them, it was just the nature of geek culture at the time and the board is second to none if you want to discuss roleplaying games or s-f and fantasy. I have now largely abandoned that site, preferring this one and another one (which I keep private for various reasons) where I have been a part-time mod. What I found here, though, was a wonderful (there's that word "wonder") community that was a comfort to me in more ways than one.
Being a part of starting a new online community, as has happened with WC2, has been another amazing experience of online community. To be honest, Xenforo will give us a far better experience in the long haul than the customized Drupal, though I have grown rather fond of the 'Cafe and it's quirks. Wondercafe2 could not have happened without the original Wondercafe, and yet it is also sad that it's beginning came out of Wondercafe's ending. Reincarnation/resurrection/whatever you call it is both a joyful and a not-so-joyful event.
To those who are not coming over, farewell ... for now. I'm hoping you won't remain strangers and that we'll see you on WC2 eventually.
To those who are coming over ... see you soon!
So be it, Amen, and Blessed be,
Mendalla

Farewell from WC Mendalla. I shall see you over at WC2.
Personally I'm planning to remain here at WC to its dieing day.

Whether it's here or on WC2, you'll always be my favourite Universal Unitarian, Mendalla.
(Well okay, you're the only one I actually know - and I haven't me you in "real" life either.)
But, somehow, I just know you're a nice guy worth knowing.

Many thanks, Mendalla. At least we are not like the Phoenix - rebirthing from ashes.
What has happened here is a gradual outgrowth, born of love and dedication.
See you on the other side.

I'm still planning on checking things out here from time to time. I have my tea in a travel mug so I can run back and forth :)

I will stay to the end because someone has to close the doors and making sure that Sylviac and others aren't still hiding in the corners.
Is anyone that you know First Nations descent on the board. It would be nice to have a smudging or blessing or something to close the doors?
Any ideas?
