Has anyone looked at the pictures that appear on wondercafe when you are signing on? Any thoughts on whether they are representative of a whole variety of families and individuals?
I don't know the answer to that. I was just wondering.

We had a big discussion about the little brown thingie that appears to some and not to all. It kinda looks like an outie belly button. Do you have any idea what that is?

I guess you mean the portraits on the home page, Tigerlilly? I was wondering that too. I don't imagine they're people who are actually here, but represent a cross - section of the diversity of who might be here. Just guessing

The web designer probably got them from an image bank somewhere.

I don't think it's from an image bank because they use the same pictures on the coffee labels.
I have a feeling that they were just paid models.

You're right Ninjafaery. Sorry I wasn't very clear when I started the topic. I did mean the portraits that show up when you sign onto wondercafe.
I know that they aren't particular people (like from wondercafe), but I guess I wondered if people felt like the portraits did a good job of respresenting a whole variety of different kinds of families. Whether they depict the inclusiveness that the church talks about.
I have to admit that I don't always take the time to look at the portraits, so I was really just curious about this.

My apologies if that's still clear as mud.
I think I just noticed a couple of very traditional 2-parent (opposite sex) families with young children when signing on, and wondered if there were also other kinds of families depicted in some of the other pictures. Like grandparents raising children. Or singe-parent families. Same-sex parents etc.
I guess it's kind of a silly question because you can read as much or as little as you want into any photo.
