Hi... this is Wolfie....
I'm posting this as a NEW THREAD so as not to derail the one in Church Life!
It's come to my attention of late that many people are having an issue of getting paragraphs to seperate properly for them. I have mine set to Rich Text Editor.
I hit the [Enter] key 2 times and start typing the new paragraph. This does not seem to work for others. I've even tried pressing [Enter] x 3, to see if that causes the paragraphs to lump together into one continuous mess. It puts the spacing between paragraphs like you see here in this post. Doesn't matter if I hit [Enter] 2 or 3 times to move down the page, it still adds only the 1 line spacing between the text.
Does anyone know how to help our friends so that they are able to get paragraphs to show proplerly for their posts? Do any of the Admins have a solution?
I'm stumped, I don't know how to help them and I feel bad telling them how I do it, and it not work for them.

Funny you should say that Chemgal....
Seems I recall Aaron suggesting 2 years ago for me to use Firefox on Wonder Cafe. Which I am actually using here on Wonder Cafe.
I still had to set it to Rich Text Editor. the Plain Text Editor won't put in the paragraph spacing for me. I totally forgot to ask them what Browser they were using on Wonder Cafe.
That is a great suggestion and reminder about Firefox.
To people having this issue. Please use Firefox and set the editor to RICH TEXT, and hit [Enter] x 2 and write the next paragraph. See if this helps you. I apologize for not thinking about the Browser from the start. Thanks again Chemgal!

I use Chrome and have no problems with paragraph spacing.

Chrome usually works with most sites too, I've never tried it before though.
Right now I'm testing with Safari - I hit enter twice like I usually do with firefox.

That was rich text.
This is plain.

Using rich text in both IE 9 and FF (whatever the latest build is), I find I have to hit return twice to get a blank line between paragraphs. In the editor, it actually looks like it's two blank lines, but when you post, there is just the one line.
The board software they use is rather flaky in some ways, though, so I'm not surprised that there are issues.

Yeah, it's a little odd when you write your post that an extra space exists.
I'm glad that I have the choice when it's actually posted though, sometimes I don't want the space and just want to go to the next line without it.

Yes. I am perplexed. And I use Firefox. And yes, I also see two blank lines and then when posted, not so.
Thought it was just me, and my less than stellar typing skillls. Good to know that I am not a full-time luddite :)

I'm O.K. now. I have firefox too.
At one time I used to write on my own email, copy/paste and fwd. it to the WC in order to get paragraphs.

I thought the problem I was having was related to my netbook. I have no problem with this laptop. It sounds like maybe it is the OS......Vista is okay (ironically) and Window's 7 isn't?
