have you noticed that there are more and more double and triple posts in the last day or two. Anybody know why?

I've had that happen to me also.

And sometimes when I hit save it takes a long, long time to post.

There are some upgrades being done to the site, so perhaps this is behind the problems you are describing. I will check into it.
