Hi All,
Want to see what youth can do for worship with some youth has-beens adding a little guidance?
If you are in London Conference you can check out The Swell:
Friday, April 14, 2006, 7:00 p.m. at Wesley-Knox United Church London, Ontario
They have a semi-functioning web-page at:
http://www.xcelco.on.ca/~theswell/
Their theme for the service is Rubric's Cube. Perhaps GUC will stuff his head into this thread and give us the skinny.
Or,
If you are in Hamilton Conference you can check out Youth Eventz at:
http://www.youtheventz.com/main.html
I will be attending the 5:30 Youth Eventz service. My wife has dissuaded me from bringing the 8x10 Colour Glossies of me and my 3 Wondies so you autograph hounds will just have to settle for me anointing your foreheads with the likeness of my signature.
Grace and peace to you.
John

Thanks John for posting this. I'd just like to note a change of date. We've changed the date from Friday, April 14, 2006 to Friday, March 21, 2008. But we will honour all tickets from the April 2006 event.
Remember, come to The Swell for loud music and disturbing images (as one senior citizen described it).
Sorry the website isn't too active. We spent all that time and money on it, only to find that the Facebook site has all the activity. Feel free to go to The Swell facebook page and click on "Good Friday Swell" to see who is coming so far.

I do believe I mentioned the semi-functioning bit.

Pfffft. Anybody who really wanted to go wouldn't find time travel that big an obstacle.
Grace and peace to you.

Oooooooh. I look all Baptizery.
To bad Adam didn't get an action shot of my prodigious thespian delivery.
Still, don't I look as irritable as John comes across?
Grace and peace to you.

Well, I mostly noticed the bag of dougnuts in case the whole thing went past your snack time...

abpenny,
That wasn't a bag of donuts.
That was my bag of locusts.
We tried a bag of honey but it leaks badly unless you use the creamed stuff.
The baptizer eating donuts. You must be reading that Good News for Post-Modern Caffinated Humans translation.
Grace and peace to you.

Hi All,
YouthEventz service was well attended.
I saw Pinga there plus a whole lot of other people I have known for a good long-time.
Some might lurk here but they don't post here.
They introduced some new music, which I was thankful for.
It was nice to sit and be ministered to after being responsible for leading two other Good Friday services today.
Hey GUC, anybody solve that Rubric's Cube?
Grace and peace to you.
John
