I would be interested in finding out which software platform the three tech people have, or will pick.  In promoting WC2 it will be important to know what features it will have.   For example if it has an Iphone app, or an android app, we can promote that.

Ie.  WC2 is just like WC plus it's easier to use and comes with an app for your phone and your tablet. Check it out at www.wondercafe2.ca. or download the iphone app at **** the Ipad app at *** and the android app at ****

We may want to consider waiting to promote the site until it has 20 or so disscussions that are appealing to a broader audience,(ie. Pauline Marois, or Rob Ford, who makes the best videos?) As oppose to topics like this one that would be of intestest only to exisiting members.

Alex, you speak to the importance of timing. Content is one factor. Another is moderation. Another is community presence. What other factors would you consider for the communication plan?

At present only one other person in my church is on WC.  Our church is joining with 5 others in a Co-operative endeavour beginning in July.  A new website is being created, and perhaps I can suggest a link to the new WC.  Will try anyway.

Have just been thinking that I will make sure to register on the new site. I am too attached to my username, its short form (P3) & my Snoopy avatar to leave it to chance someone else might select the name.

I wanted to be paradox when I came here but it was already taken - - along with paradox1 and paradox2.

My fellowship has heard me wax poetic about WC and will definitely be hearing about WC2. With it uncoupled from UCCan, I'm hoping I can get more interest from the UU community. May even approach Canadian Unitarian with a proposal for an article. Frame it as a look at how the UCCan created something that is, to my eye, profoundly UU in outlook and how the new Wondercafe2 will be even more so since it will be user-run and supported (one of our principles is commitment to democratic processes).

On a personal level, given my involvement in starting the site, believe me that various friends and associates will be hearing about it.

Excellent ideas here.  It occurs to me many UC Conferences will soon be meeting ... good place for a mention or an advert maybe. 

Alex, good point about mobile versions or apps. I'm on it. Also about having conversations started before we promote the site.
