That would be a bit too much of a commute for me, though it sounds really great. My son has a performance on Friday, no parents allowed so I'll hang out on the waterfront while he sings and eats pizza. Saturday I'll be going to the Christmas tree lighting, fireworks and concert. Other than that, getting my livingroom tree ready, might take 2 weekends, and cuddling up with season 3 of Dr Who that I got at the library.

This weekend:
Friday afternoon - bowling. Pick up door prizes for tomorrow's party
Saturday 9:00 to 4:00 - Mr. Seeler participating in model train show at local high school. Big event that he is excited about. I hope to go and take my grandson but Mr. Seeler will have the car. Maybe daughter can pick me up and take me. I need to pick up the models I ordered for Mr. Seeler's birthday from the Hobby Shop display.
Saturday 3:30 pm - friends pick me up to go to Senior Bowlers' Christmas Party. Take door prizes, gifts for those who helped out during the year, gift for Yankee Swap. Oversee arrangements for party that starts at 4:00 and runs until 9:00 or 9:30. May have one couple who live out-of-town stay over at my place for the night.
Sunday 9:00 am - church for WonderCafe Live
Serve communion at 11:00 am worship
Make casserole for evening
2:30 pm - church for 'hanging of the greens with daughter and grandchildren'. Leave before supper.
5:00 pm back home to finish and heat casserole
6:00 pm pot luck supper at someone's home for Model Train Club and their wives.
Monday - routine until evening when go for rehearsal for Christmas play - oh, the weekend is over!

Sounds great! I hate to say it though...where's Port Credit? Judging from the postal code I'm guessing east of Toronto?

Sounds like so much fun. If I was still living in London I would consider making the trek. But alas it would be quite the trek from Vancouver!
(Busymom: Port Credit is pretty much in MIssissauga.)
I have a date with my fiance on Saturday night! We will be bringing baby with us and meeting up with one of my fiance's coworkers and his wife. They have a daughter who is just a couple weeks older than our's.

It sounds wonderful, but I can't go. My drive would be my wife who doesn't usually get home from school til around 6.

This weekend, I'll be shopping for a mobility scooter and plotting the same thing I do every weekend. Trying to take over the world!

I moved away from that part of the world ten years ago, otherwise it might be nice. Too long a commute for me too.
I will be going to my husband's work Christmas party at his boss' home. It will be a nice gathering. I might go to a UCW lunch that day (Saturday) too, if I can get coordinated. Both events are potluck. We need to get some Christmas shopping done, so that might be on the agenda.
I will be going to church on Sunday, and our new part-time minister will be there. I had a nice visit with her today and it is nice to have her.
Monday is my follow-up visit with the surgeon to see how my foot is healing. I will be getting x-rays to see if it is fusing as it is supposed to. Here's hoping! I want to be driving again.

Looks like I should be building a fence around my part of the world so joejack doesn't invade me....but instead we'll be taking mom out for a birthday supper on Saturday and lugging more stuff to the 2nd hand store on Sunday...

After having been on my own for well over a week, I will be meeting a beautiful woman Friday night to start an affair at her Christmas party. I have a hotel room booked, because something tells me she is game.

Your library has new Who? I'm jealous. London Public is building a pretty collection of classic Dr. Who (esp. Tom Baker), but doesn't have any of the Eccleston/Tennant material yet.
This weekend? Getting ready for a trip (to Spain).

Bethanyk,
Let me know if you go to Inverary, it's where my Dad is from?

If it's not "the wife", I'll tell her.

Port Credit - sounds very nice!!! And I'm close by. Tonight I planned homework. Tomorrow... kids are gone overnight :) and Saturday my sweetie is laying a sidewalk for my parents (yes in December.... its slow season now.) We'll have cousins to make cookies with and decorate and stuff at Grandma's so it should be a nice day (except for my sweetie -brrrr)
I'll have to see.

Mendalla, I don't think that my library has much in the way of the old Who. I treated myself to an early birthday present of the 4th season a few weeks ago. I got the 2nd season from the library last week, I'm hold number twenty somethingth for the first season because they only have 2 copies. I think that the Space channel is showing the first Tennant special (I think it is called the Lost Planet) on Dec 18 and they are giving me the best birthday present ever by showing The Waters of Mars on the 19th.

Busymom - here's your geography lesson - beautiful Port Credit - The Village by the Lake - is in Mississauga on the west side of Toronto. South of the Queen Elizabeth Way, at Hurontario St. (also known as Highway 10) It's my home too!
Thanks for the reminder momsfruitcake - I've seen the billboards about this but have never gone myself - maybe this year will be the one!

Oh - and this weekend: Friday I'm off work, so we're going downtown to the CBC Sounds of the Season event, which should be fun. I always hear it on the radio but have never been. Then we're off to the ROM to see the Vanity Fair portrait exhibit, which we are both really looking forward to. Probably a little Xmas shopping along the way, enjoying the sights and sounds of the city. Maybe drop by Nathan Phillips Square if we're still there at dark, to see all the amazing Xmas lights.
Saturday - some chores around home & then neighbours are coming for our annual Daffy Duck dinner party.
Sunday - oh, church, chores, visiting - the usual lovely day.
