Not sure what you are asking, Inanna. Do you specifically mean in connection with Communion in a worship service? Or are you asking a broader question?

Since the Holy Spirit has given me the gift of Music, song is very important to me. It unifies us, strengthens us, and gives us new life and vitality. Currently I've been studying Global Christianity in school. It's so wonderful to learn -- Christians from across the globe adapt music styles from their own unique cultures to give praise and glory to God.
Rich blessings.

My favorite communion comes when sitting beside a northern lake as the evening gently descends. Birds mutter lazily as they settle down to sleep, wavelets caress the shore and a talented artist spreads color across the sky.

gecko46,
did you feel some kind of connection?

Absolutely, yes. I've made eye contact with whales - humpies and orcas - on several occasions, and kinda feel that a superior intelligence is scoping me out.
It's beautiful!

To me it is more than pleasnt - it is sacred connection. A time when silence allows me to be aware of the holy.

My deepest communion comes through the spirituality of caregiving - the acknowlegement of the soul - the divine spirit in me meets the divine spirit in you
My favourite communion comes in seeing a rainbow.

I don't know about the UN, but I sincerely wish they could have a voice at IWC meetings - (International Whaling Commission) meeting at present to decide their fate, such as kill quotas.

One event would be on the day before my grandmother died, I was sitting beside her , in the hospital. I fed her a small spoonful of grape jelly ~ years before, she had taught me to make the grape jelly ~ years before that she had fed me with a spoon. There was a palpable spark of acknowlegement that there was something far greater than either of us, at work.
