I would like to see religion and faith Forum split. One could be religion and Faith and the other could be Christianity or Biblical or Religion and the Bible or something....... It is difficult to keep questions about the Christian church; biblical studies; prayers and prayer requests; Christian questions, Christian music etc active because R & L is so busy. After the topic drops below 10 most active, they seem to diasappear from view.
This is not a complaint about other faiths, religions and and the value of having a Religion and Faith forum, but it is about finding a place that these other topics have a chance to survive.
For example, many posters have wonder mailed me and are enjoying the Women of the Bible studies - they read and they post - but once they drop from view, new posters especially don't find them and other posters don't come back to them. I don't think that how many that are posting is the important thing but that the folk who are here posting and reading get the best format we can offer.
I hope you will add your thoughts and maybe Admin will stop by.
I know nothing about forums but because in recent weeks I have found I am part witch, I would just snap my fingers to make this happen.

I agree Crazyheart - I would like to see this separated. Something for Bible study and discussion of Christianity, prayers, questions about the church or services (example: what does Maundy Thursday mean - and why did they wash peoples feet at the dinner I attended?)
And keep the religion category for discussions about athiesm and religion, etc.
Other minor changes would be to find a faster way to switch from one category to another. Sometimes I just want to quickly browse through the categories to see what's new. It takes forever, it seems.

I'll second the motion!
I know that for somethings we are supposed to post them in the Blog section, but to be honest I don't have time to go back and forth between the two - that and I'm just plain lazy.
I will admit I like the new track feature but if I don't post on a thread, even when I'm interested I will often miss additional comments.
Hmm, maybe I will just start randomly inserting poems into threads I like

Absorbed in bliss so deep and dear,
My hour of rest had fleeted by,
And back came labour, bondage, care.

The recently active frame needs to be made wider..or truncate the length of the title in the heading.
Reason: recently active used to contain all the posts in order of activity.
Now...we might only see 10 or so posts, especially if they have long titles.

I don't like the recently active spot.
I would like when on a page, as now, I am "on socail" i would like to have a way to jump directly to another category. In the other set up there was a line of all the categories and you could jump.

I like your idea crazyheart and I have enjoyed your posts about women in the Bible.
Somedays, although I do enjoy listening to the atheist perspective and others also, I have found it can be "wearing" and I long for more content that is in a Christian vein---from all understandings.
I think it would be a welcome addition to the site and add to it's diversity and would have the added bonus of at least having time to explore topics more before being bumped out of sight.

lastpointe- I second that - I don't mind the recently active, but I find I forget about the others.
I absolutely would like a way to jump straight to another category from every page.

For me, change nothing (costs) but find a way to maintain what we have.... reading the Observer I read the funding for the website runs out this year.
