Hi! Welcome to the group for Halifax, NS. I see that most groups are based around a specific church, but I want to get to know people out there from Halifax in general.
We can talk Halifax specific stuff, or just general things. Maybe at one point we can have an in-person meet up.

Preaching should not be limited within the roof of the church. Sermon is actually need for school level students. Students are as clay so we can modify them the same as the potter gives beautiful shape to clay. Similarly, religious lesson should be given to students. In Chrysalis School Montana students are given biblical and moral lesson.
Hello,
I just wanted to say hello and tell you that I just moved here from Ontario, too, also after living most of my life there, nearly 60 years. I live in Halifax now and love it. This next Sunday I will be attending my first service at the United church in my area and I'm quite excited about it. I sure hope you have had a chance to find a new church for yourself and some new friends.
All the best,
Sharney
Hi! I have moved from Ontario. We have been in Dartmouth Nova scotia for about a year now. We have never lived here before. We lived in Ontario for over 50 years. We have a daughter who lives here. We do not have any friends. We really love living in Nova Scotia but we have no social life. We would like to find a church and meet some good people. We belonged to anAnglican church in Ontario. It closed and it was really hard on the members. It has been hard to trust a church again. We were very active in the church. It has been a while since we have gone to church. We would like to maybe give it a try again. does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.
Hello,
I'm moving back to Halifax after the end of November 2009. I only lived there for a year before attempting to move back to Ontario where I've lived all my 58 years.
When I was living in Halifax last year, I didn't drive and it was difficult to get around to most of the United Churches so I don't have a home church there yet. When I move back I will have a car so I'll be able to "church shop".
I guess I'd just like to hear from anyone involved in a United Church in Halifax to sort of touch base, so I would really enjoy hearing from anyone who'd care to contact me here.
Thanks very much!
Hi, I am new here! I don't live in Nova Soctia but I sure want to go there :) What do you like about it? Is there much highland or gelic culture there? I might even go on a road trip there soon, comeing all the way from Ontario!

Hi this is an interesting site .I`m all for making new friends but I need some neutral advice.I have a friend and co worker and she is having an affair with a married man .I have tried to advise her that will end badly for her.The man she is with ,I think, will not leave his wife although he says he will .but I am sceptical.Do I sit by and let this train wreck happen or what more can I say to her?I also do not want this brought in to work either, its stressful enough.I have advised not to see him anymore until hes left his wife and moved on.Heavy first comment I know but I watch her each week sinking in to a situation that her reputation will be affected.I find I can not be "nice " to the man involved. From my point of view he is playing with my friends state of mind.
Hi all...I have just discovered this web site. I found this group and since I live in Dartmouth it seems fitting enough for me. I am looking forward to meeting new friends (once I have some...haha). I am 54 yrs old and enjoy people of all ages. Cheers!
