I heard on TV this morning that Franklin Graham said that you are not born Christian, You can be born Jew, Muslim or others but you can not be born Christian.
You must go through the born again, testimony baptism by immersion and washed in the blood.
What do you think. I can't find the statements that he made.
Were you born Christian?,
the more i hear about the conservative party here in manitoba, the more i can't understand how on earth anyone could equate these people with christianity. specifically, i can't get over how the fillmon conservative government from 12 years ago got away with privatizing MTS, after promising in their campaign that they would not privatize it. fillmon currently holds a plush position on the privatized MTS, the stock options he recieved after his stint as provincial premier totalling nearly a million dollars.

in an interesting compendium of stories about religion, especially in the United States. Well worth some time spent.
A poster has stated that the catholic Church is not a Christian church. If they are not, what are they?
Is this something that many people believe or just one poster?
This was a response to a [fairly militant and one-sided] argument over here about why the author rejects "Christian Anarchy".
Literally this was just a fast response I typed out, so I would love feedback, suggestions, more discussion, and respectful argument.
When I think of blasphemy, I generally think of "don't take the Lord's name in vain".
In other words, don't swear stating - "Jesus Christ" or "God"
Yet, per wiki, it is Blasphemy is irreverence[1] toward believed holy personages, religious artifacts, customs, and beliefs.
Per Webster's dictionary it is :
Churches Versus Synagogues: Voluntary Donations Versus Dues: Which model raises more? http://nyti.ms/dbno1k
Just sharing from Twitter, but I do enjoy the Freakonomics Blog.
I have been reading threads tonight and notice that some posters write "It is the Christian thing to do,,,,,,,"
What exactly do they mean and can other faiths not do the same thing? For example, "It is the Hindu thing to do....." or "It is the Wiccan thing to do...."?
Are we setting Christians up as the example of "acting better than"?
What do you think?
I want to pose this question differently. Do you think that the MAJORITY OF CANADIANS think that canada is a christian nation?
Be honest - not what you think but that can be answered also but the MAJORITY OF CANADIANS?
I will be interested in the discussion.
