Speak out/getinvolved/takeaction/OhBrother.
If you want to get involved - why not fill a few containers with supplies and go down on a mission and help some people instead of just trying to raise crap?
Why not stop confronting and stand with the government to move forward in making this a better place?
I have friends down there who are in hospital with malaria and dengue, but when they are not sick they are not protesting.
They have had gunfights go straight through their house - Honduras are a tough neighbourhood.
Protesting is just confrontation. The boys holding guns are not trained in Canada to be nice. There is poverty and a huge drug business, and bad boys with guns.

Did you even read the link Saul_now_Paul? I think protesting human rights violations is valid and important (duh!). No government should be given a free pass to abuse its citizens, which you seem to be recommending.

If I was living in some poor nation, and I was having trouble feeding my kids, and some fat Canadian came up to me and started yelling into my face how I should be looking after my family - I'd probably punch them in the nose.
