So. Is he just the low hanging fruit or did he orchestrate this monumental feat all by his little 'ole self?
Was he just easy to throw under the bus? (You know those smart-ass young techies can do anything, right?)
What do you think about the Harper gov't's response?
What will ensue?

Hi ninjafaery,
I think that there will be a lot of posturing. The Conservatives tried to spin that he admitted to this form of voter suppression in his letter of resignation, which still has yet to become public even thought some Conservative somewhere had their hands on it.
I expect that it will become public, as evidence, during the trial. Since Sona claims that he didn't take responsibility in the resignation letter.
So far Sona is the only one facing charges. I expect he will name names during the trial of who had the access to information he claims that he didn't have.
Grace and peace to you.
John

Yes. The important thing is not whether Sona is guilty. It is who he will name - and how deep that will take us into Harper's secrets.

And what the ultimate results will be. My hope is that the Conservative leadership may come to experience the folly of trying to win at all costs.

Harper is quite capable of taking extreme action to derail the case. And he now also has to deal with the overseas tax haven scandal - with, almost certainly, lots of his friends involved.

He'll probably get a Senate job out of it in the end.

That's what I figure too. Appointed brazenly. Brazen that criminals are routinely rewarded. For God's sake pinch me! There are no words......or maybe too many. Just incredible.
