Let's say Omar Khadr is a  Christian. When a child (as defined by law) he was visitng Christian friends in another country, they were suddenly attacked by large numbers of heavily armed Moslem foreigners. All of his friends were killed. Can you imagine being fifteen years old with strange men screaming and  shooting at you, and your friends lying splattered all over the ground?

In his panic, he may have thrown a grenade. In his position, i might well have thrown one, too - though I am well over 15.

The Moslem foreigners took him and treated him as an enemy soldier - which is illegal. They tortured him - which is illegal. The held him in solitary for years with no charge or trial - which is illegal.. Then they tried him in front of a military court (not only illegal, but a sure loss for the defendent).

And what has Harper been doing all this time? Well, he's been denouncing the Moslem government for its behaviour, and demanding the return of a Canadian citizen to Canada (As Britain and Australia had the integrity to do for their citizens.) Canadians are loud in their support of him. The United Church organizes an Omar Khadr society which gives weekly reports after the sermon, just like the missionary society.

So the Moslem country agrees to release him to Canada. Harper immediately responds. Eager United Church members offer their services to heal Khadr after his years of abuse.

Best of all, this happens in the year when all Canadians are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the year the Moslem country invaded Canada.

The whole Christian world applauds Canada for publicly practiciing its faith.

And I'm so proud of Canada and it's Christian example that my button's are just poppin'.
